ABOUT ME

Born and bred in Durban, South Africa, in a suburb known for it's "burly" people - The Bluff.

Despite the stigma of "Rough and tough and from The Bluff", I grew up quite timid.

After High School I went on to work in marketing, then deciding to drop the pretentious life and save the world - I became a High School English and Biology teacher.

I went on to teach at my Alma mater - Durban Academy - on The Bluff, where I taught for six-and-a-half years.

But something snapped in me one day, I couldn't stand the stagnation of the routine life.

Living my Life like a somnambulistic cow to the slaughter house, I felt I needed change, EXCITEMENT!

I resigned that very day - 2 February 2016. No work prospects, no guarantee of a future.

It was the best thing I had ever done!

Work offers started flowing in my direction and by the end of July I found myself on an Emirates plane headed to Jakarta to teach at one of the city's foremost International Schools.

And now, three months on, 06 November 2016, I've started this blog to document my comings, goings, Life, Loves and Adventures in Jakarta and Indonesia at large.
